Aleppo is the second city of Syria and the capital of the northern region, 350 kilometres north of Damascus; it is one of the oldest cities in the history. Prophet Abraham is said to have camped on the acropolis, which, long before him, was a fortress (Aleppo citadel is standing now in that place)
